Replaced hard drive; OS CDs won't boot

It's about how much time and effort I'm putting into a computer that may not work right until I replace everything except the logo sticker! I'd rather give this machine to someone who thinks it's fun to spend an entire weekend cataloging all the different things that could be wrong and chasing them down, and go buy one that works and has a warrenty!
 
I used to support those Dell Optiplexes at work years ago. they're horrible things with non-standard Motherboards and PSUs. Sorry to say, the dump's the place for them now.
