Replacement for the Thunderbolt

My Thunderbolt has been giving me problems...and I think it will be covered under the year warranty (good through April). It won't receive texts...I can send them, but can't receive. I've wiped last week and that solved the problem...but apparently only temporarily.

Anyway...I'm hoping that once I take it in to Verizon they no longer have the Thunderbolt available. What happens when that is the scenario?

The Thunderbolt is currently "out of stock" on Verizon's site...does that mean that it's out of stock everywhere...or the inventory is depleting across the country.

Is it a feasible theory that I can hold out and the next couple of weeks and the Thunderbolt won't be available and they'll have to offer a better phone or a credit towards another purchase?

Thanks for any feedback!

I don't care too much. I'd prefer to pick up a Nexus or the Razr/Razr Maxx...I think a peanut has a better battery life than the Thunderbolt. :)
