If you go to motorolas web site in the Droid X forums there is a large thread just on random rebooting . I found the site very helpful.so your droid x randomly rebooted at times for no reason too? I thought maybe I had done something to mess mine up or something
I called and complained a couple of times plus it is what motorola is suggesting on their support web site. Plus I was within my 30 days and they sent me a new one.was it any real hassle to get a replacement and did it cost you anything?
I am going on two days with a new replacement X and so far no issues at all plus The camera takes better pictures and no reboots so far. The new X seems much different than my original X. I just hope it stays this way.
Just wondering, other than taking better pictures, what else is different or better?
man i got my x on the day that it came out.....and that is beyond the 30 days. guess i might have to raise some serious cane or use my phone insurance crap
Your covered by manufacturer warranty for one year. I have used it on a prior phone in the past and received a replacement with no hassle at all. You will have to keep your old battery and likely your sd card. It will say "re-manufactured" on the replacement phone but the one I got was either band new or it was made to look brand spanking new, I couldn't find any defects on the replacement at all.
Don't go through insurance if there is a co-pay, warranty is free.
yeah, the "certified like new" phones are just that, "like new." when someone buys a phone and returns it within the 30 days, that esn can never be sold as new again. so, they are sent back to the manufacturer, and the cases and glass are replaced, and they go thru a 100 point inspection. there are often fewer problems with the "clnr" phones than with new ones, since every single one is inspected. that isnt to say they are perfect, but they are under warranty as well (to the end of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer).
