ucdzombie

Lurker
I have a HTC EVO 4G and the vibrator broke (I've done the test, no response at all, nothing...). I'm about to order to the replacement part. However it seems like the motor is soldered to the board. Does anyone know how the proper way of replacing the motor? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome ucdzombie!!
Sorry for the late reply, and I have not seen a guide on how to replace it but......
try this:
Take your device in one hand and firmly smack the bottom of the device against the palm of your other hand. Not the very bottom, but kind of below the kickstand part.

Now I know what you are thinking, but trust me...it may help.:)
I fixed a co workers malfunctioning vibrating motor this way...;)
