Replying to Multiple Recipients

When I receive a text with multiple recipients, I cannot figure out how to reply to all recipients on the list. I am able to view the message details to see who the other recipients are, but when i reply I can only reply to the original sender.

Also, when coming from an iPhone user, the message is received as an MMS with the Subject as "no subject". The other iPhone users on the list are able to easily view all the recipients on the list and reply to all as well.

I know how to compose a message and add Multiple Recipients when composing a new message. I will receive individual replies from those recipients.

anyone have any idea on how to keep it all on one thread?

I have tried on both Handcent SMS and the Default Messaging

I use K9, but I think the default app is the same. You open the email, then hit the phone's menu button. I get a "reply" and a "reply all" option.

thanks for the reply. i was referring to to SMS messages, not email.

I have 2 contacts that are iPhone users, when i compose a new SMS message with the both of them as recipients, they receive the message and are able to see all recipients of the message. They can also 'reply all' and see the messages as one continuous thread.

When i receive the reply, i am only able to reply to the individual that sent the message, not to all recipients on the thread. I would like to be able to reply to all.
 
@Puffdragon - did you find a solution to this yet? I am having the exact same issues with reply to all and the iphone users.

Found this link when googling for the same thing...

Wow, this is REALLY lame. That's such a nice feature for a group of people on SMS to reply to everyone and have a chain of text threads going.

I can't figure out how to do this on my droid phone (samsung galaxy skyrocket.) It can't be an AT&T thing since I was able to do it easily on my iPhone with AT&T.

Is there a 3rd party app that provides this feature or am I just SOL?

Not only can you not reply to multiple users you can't even see (that I can tell) that the initial text went out to multiple people like you can on the iphone.

I tried Handcent also and no luck with it either.
 
Hi Nuttmeg,

I'm going to have to bite the bullet here and maybe do some wholesale changes. Using ADW Launcher and Handcent - both paid for, ok not mega bucks.
Was looking at going over to Go Launcher and their other apps.

Think it over durig Xmas.
