Root request: guide to tethering on this device

i use 'wifi tether for root users'
these are the settings that work best for me:
device profile - generic ics/jb (wlan0)
setup method - auto
wfi-driver reload - checked
keep alive - checked
all other settings remain unchanged...

Just got a nexus 7 and can confirm that this tether app worked for me using this set up. Thanks@davidmargolin.

My settings are: Profile-S3, check WiFi driver reload 2,setup method-Netd-Ndc (master), check keep alive, channel 11, disable wake lock

These settings work for mine too, although the other settings mentioned did not for some reason.
I just moved and internet guy won't be here for 5 days. Hooray for tethering!

Umm.... dont know why, none of the above worked for me. Tried and tried for weeks, no luck. Found this today, worked on 1st shot, nice, Working WiFi Tether after 4.1.2 and root - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
Reverb, bought xmas, ota update, then root and recovery, then install a) 1-click tether and b) tether for root user, Viola!
Yes, it takes 2 programs for it to work, weird. Who care, as long as it works.
