Is it possible to overclock the gpu past 400?

I feel like most kernels usually focus on the cpu, but i'm not familiar with the phone system. Is the GPU connected to the CPU other than both being on the mobo?
 
We did it before, didnt get much further than 400 without issues, otherwise it would crash constantly. I think the sweet spot we had was only 415, and there was only VERY minor improvement in AnTutu and Quadrant scores. It basically just sucked battery unnecessarily.
Ive decreased the gpu speed and had almost no difference in stuff like Dungeon Hunter 4 and Asphalt 8 and even GT Racing 2 on max detail. It just wasnt really worth it.
 
I recently got the humble bundle that included Ravensword.
Trying to play this on the zte awe is alright for about five minutes, then it gets fairly hot and laggy. Any suggestions? I have the rb3 kernel, and i'm not sure what profile to put it on.

I use 1.4ghz-1.9ghz/interactive/MP-Decision off, temperature throttle off/GPU on Performance. I also use TBup Pro to freeze a lot of apps I dont use (which is actually quite a few)
Phone will get pretty warm, Ravensword is pretty intense graphically and theres a lot going on in the background, so keeping up can get pretty rough. I believe there is a way to tune it down some by editing an xml somewhere, but I havent looked into it
 
Just a quick question regarding the heat issue...
What is your Brightness set at? If its on Auto, turn it off and set the slider to about 1/3 or less. Been playing some YT videos and Asphalt 8 (which got the phone warm enough to stop it from charging at higher/auto) for about an hour or so constantly and its not nearly as warm. Just a suggestion
