While downloading an app from the Play Store, my connectivity was interrupted. Now the Play Store says "Installing..." but no app is in my directory, no file in download. How do I clear this so I can actually install the app?
Go into settings>apps (or application manager)>play store>force stop. If that doesn't help, go to the above location press on storage and clear data.

It didn't work because the app wasn't in inventory.
But I was able to clear it by Clear Cache for Play store app, then restart on phone.

Sorry i wasn't clear, i meant to say that you should go and force stop/clear data of the play store not the app that you tried downloading.
