I've seen lots of threads asking how to change the SMS Message alert sound. What I haven't seen is the following. Help is greatly appreciated.
At some point in the past, I did the above (change the Message alert sound). I need to reset that setting (Messaging/MenuButton/Settings/Notification, Select Ringtone), so that changes in the general System's Notification ringtone also effect messages.
There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to change this setting back to default. Is there a backdoor method, etc?

Not using any messaging apps other than the one that comes with Android.
