since the update i have yet to successfully turn my phone on without having to pull the battery at least once. it always freezes at the motorola logo. anyone else have this issue?

Mine froze yesterday at the same spot. First time and hourly the only time...but after reading your post I'm a little concerned now.

Try this guys...

Turn off your phone.
1. Hold in the home key... second on the bottom.
2. Turn on the phone while keep holding in the home key.
3. When the android guy pops up press the search key...last on the bottom
4. It will take you too the boot screen...
5. Use volume keys to scroll up and down go to wipe cache and press the camera button.
6. Then when its done scroll up to reboot and press camera again.

This worked great for me.

OR..
If the above doesn't work...
Do a factory data reset this is under privacy in your settings.
make sure to back contact up and media onto sd card if your going to do this

Clearing the cache is pretty safe. I've done this twice in the last couple weeks.

A factory reset restores the phone to the way it was when you brought it home (except you have all the system updates). This means you'll have to install all your apps, add all your email accounts and set up your phone again.

Mine froze on the M Of Death today (I heard someone say that in a different thread a few weeks ago and I've been trying to crowbar it in ever since). I pulled the battery and it wouldn't even come on. No M. No nothing. I was getting worrried and then out of the blue the Droid logo popped up. It was kinda strange. I hope it doesn't mess up again. :(

How do I back up media and contacts on my ad card? I have a bunch of songs I don't want to lose. (I'm on the road and not near a computer)
