restore rom

Hello so its been forever sense i have done this so i need some help I had a backup of my stock rom that work twice then i went back to cm but i want to go back i have restored the rom in cwm but when i boot it up it turns a bunch of different colors and will not boot does anyone know a fix for this i can still boot into clockwork recovery manager but when i restore the stock rom after its done it boot loops
 
Try factory resetting and clearing cache.
Then try your backup. If the problem is still there, hook up your device to your pc, download the stock rom and copy it over.
I believe the CWM recovery has a option to mount the sd card.
 
I tried everything so i took my backup and a custom stock and made a full stock out of it do you know where i could post it so other people can download it
 
What device are you using?
Also sometimes you need to re flash CWM in ROM Manager for it to stick. I've had problems with the latest update on my Nexus and since have switched to TW Recovery.
