restore super backup file from google drive

saved a backup file to google drive from previous phone, then on my new phone, from the restore browse, I can find the target backup file, I select the file, it shades blue, then hit select on the upper right, it returns to the restore select file screen but the file is not there, only the empty folder that is designated for backups which is empty because this is a new phone and no backups have been made to it yet

You have to download the file directly to your phone first. Also install super backup app.

yeah you need the app to do the restore. what device do you have?

well... I wouldn't have got this far without having the app in the first place.... although I really like super backup, it falls short with restoring from google drive, kinda goes into this rabbit hole with reason or logic, guess if have to download file so be it, been using file manager, v1-200827, its a pain to use for something like this, will be searching for a better file manager type app
