Root Restore to Factory

So, my sister has a bionic, I recently flashed a rom, Liberty onto it and she now wants something else. Thinking this thing may get ICS, I figured we can just restore and update to the latest firmware. Since its been a while since I have done any tweaking to a motorola phone I figured I would make a pit stop here and make sure I have everything down.

What is the latest firmware and where would I get it from?
Is there a pre-rooted or a root available for the latest firmware?
I will need to get RSD lite, I think there is a link some place here to get that.

So I would need to:

back phone up, both Nandroid and titanium backup for her apps.
Install RSD lite
Find the firmware and download.
Install the moto drivers
Plug phone in
Load up RSD lite
Point it to the file and execute the restore

Is this all in check?

Personally I would rather:
Chuck phone in blender, press power and replace with a Razr but funding for that idea is not available for that solution :D

Backup with tibu
Do a nandroid backup

This is te easiest way to get back to stock with the current OTA, it will wipe everything.

Then use tehsusenoh modified releashed and forever root file here. R3l3AS3DRoot_Windows_V2.1 - modded zergRush - Minus.com Option 2

All I see is a green box that says Zip
You said option 2 and the only other link I see is on the lower right side that is gallery.zip in the status bar.

Sorry for being such a newb, but I don't really like (or trust) sites like the one I am presented so I just want to make sure I click the right link

That's the right one. The big green zip.

Yall say this is for RSDlite and Fastboot, can i just used the fastboot that came with the Android SDK, and flash that way? i have used fastboot a few times before, and am a Mac user, i have access to windows, but it is a pain in the butt to get up and running, and i just dont like RSDlite... it and i never really get along. it does what i need it to do, but... Fastboot is MUCH cleaner.

Thnx!
