Help Restoring backup through NanDroid

Lurker
Hi guys, I had a NanDroid backup of my stock rom before flashing CM7 on my device. As what I had understand, stock rom uses EXT3 and CM7 uses EXT4 format. As I am going to restore back to stock rom, do i have to convert the current EXT4 back to EXT3 before proceeding to NanDroid restore? By the way I'm using CWM 5.0.2.0. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums jaylen!

I do not actually have your device, but the way I've always understood it is that a Nandroid backup is an image of your phone as it was at the time that you made the backup - this would mean that all you should have to do would be restore the backup.

If I were you, I would do a full wipe, as if you were going to install a new ROM and then go to the restore backup option in clockwork.

It is worth remembering that you would want to backup any texts, etc (unless you're not bothered about loosing them).

Hope that's some help! :)
