Restrict App download / distribution

Hi,
Apologies if this has already been asked. The searches I ran did not find the answer.

I have been asked by a company if I can dev an app for them, however, they only want it available to their staff. Obvious log in checks etc are simple.
However they have asked if it is possible to even restrict the download, as it will be of no interest to anyone who does not work for them ?

Does anyone know of any I guess Enterprise App deployment services / methods etc ?

So far, I have only delt with normal Android Market, with free and open distribution.

Any ideas, or pointers are gratefully received.

If the phones are company issued, they can just have it installed on the phones before it is given to the employee or have the employee bring their phone over to the IT dept to have it manually installed right?
