Retrieving email from native Samsung app

I noticed this morning that e-mail sent from my Galaxy S8 Plus was not being delivered, even though the e-mails were showing in my Sent folder. I deleted the account in question from the app, re-added it, and rebooted the phone. Now, everything in the Sent and Trash folders have disappeared. The Inbox appears to be intact, but the problem still exists. There is an e-mail in that sent batch I really need to access. Any thoughts?

Try logging in from a PC or laptop to access your account

batter way to deal with this is, use you email account on your PC or lappy.

Slightly related: How would one export the messages in the "sent" folder? I would like to move them to my Outlook sent folder.

With Yahoo mail I was able to move the contents of "Sent" to my inbox. Then Outlook would pull them via POP3 to the outlook inbox as new mail, then I would move them to the Sent folder. Any ideas for this?

My guess is if I could move messages from Sent to Outbox, it might work, but it's not allowed.
