Help Retrieving passwords from Chrome

I got hacked earlier this year. In a stupid move, I changed my passwords for just about everything without having a password manager. A few websites, like Facebook, I'm logged into on Chrome, but I can't log in from anywhere else because I've forgotten my passwords. And even though my mobile # is hooked up with Facebook, it won't text me my password (and the email associated with it is permanently hacked). It's not Chrome Beta. Any way to make the passwords visible on my Droid? Would rooting the phone show me things like that? I'm clearly a total tech moron, but this phone is 2 yrs old, and if I screw up rooting it, I'm due for an upgrade anyway.

Thanks!

So if you can't obtain access to your old email account, why don't you just associate your accounts with your new email address?

Log into Facebook (for one example) on chrome. Go into your account settings and change your email address. Then use the forgot password option and reset the password through your new email address.

Also, my Chrome sync on my laptop neither auto logs into sites like Facebook, nor shows any passwords synced from mobile Chrome, so I can't do it that way either.

Go to customize & control, then to settings, then scroll to the bottom and click show advanced settings, go down to manage passwords, mine asked for my windows password for chrome to show what the passwords actually are, you can re-hide them once you know it.

good luck

Blast! No luck. I can only access that page on my laptop, not on my droid. It shows the only synced password is for my gmail account. I don't know if there is any way to get to an equivalent settings page on the droid.

My phone is new and I'm using Firefox on it, so I have no passwords on it, but this is supposed to work. My list is empty.

Edit saved passwords

  1. Touch Chrome menu > Settings > Save passwords.
  2. Touch Edit.
  3. Touch - to delete a password or site from the list.

I would think you can see them if you can edit them.

Again, good luck
