Help Retrieving voice mails

Dnaforme

Lurker
I just switched over from t-mobile my touch and I was able to get voice mails by just pressing the number (1), without using a pass code. Can you do this with the DNA, or do I always have to type the code.

Thx

Go to Settings --> Call --> Voicemail Settings --> Voicemail number.

The standard number is *86. You need to add several pauses after that and your PIN.

Once you do this, all you have to do is dial "1". Voicemail will be dialed and your PIN subsequently entered.

I can retrieve my voice mail by dialing *86 plus PIN.
But when I dial simply "1" Verizon replies "incorrect number..".
What am I missing?
Peter
