Root Reverting to Stock 2.1

Hi,

I haven't posted for a while due to being very happy with my VillainROM 2.1 ROM working extremely well on my sim-free Hero since I downloaded it.

I'm now at the position where I have a sim-free Desire Z winging its way to me in the post. So ...

I want to revert my Hero to stock 2.1 (from HTC I guess), so that I can sell it before Christmas.

Is it simply a case of downloading the official 2.1 ROM from HTC and installing it using the HTC Sync app? Anything I should watch out for?

thx in advance :D

First off, are you sure stock firmware would make the phone easier to sell? Villain 12 is better than stock after all. I would put it up for sale as 'rooted, but I can put anything you want on there before sending'.

But if you do want to go back, I think you'll need a goldcard before you can install one of the official 1.5 firmwares.

(You can only grab 2.1 OTA, so you'll need to install 1.5 first).
