I am surprised it's been out for 2 weeks with no hands-on reviews like Cnet, etc.

The one review I did find was luke warm at best, saying that while it performed OK nothing in particular stood out except the dock. They only thought it was should be high on the list for those that needed the dock (business/blogger use etc).

Seems like the traffic on this forum. Kinda like it hit without making much impact.......

I'll be selling my 700t as soon as I decide on a 7 or 8 inch tab. Hoping, but doubt, Nexus will do an 8......

I'm interested in finding out what folks thing of this tablet. I currently have a Transformer Prime and it needs to be replaced. I have been waiting to see if a new Nexus 10 is going to be released but things have been very quiet on that end. So...I'm looking at the TF701 as an option. The specs look great but I want to see what current owner think of it. I see that is has received Android 4.3, so that's good. TigerDirect has it on sale for $389 so I'm very tempted. Give me your opinions. :) By the way, I won't be using it with the dock. I got the dock for the Prime but I did not use it as much as I thought I would.

The tablet is great. Faster than the 700, better display. Only issue is the dock, the early ones were way too loose, caused connection between tablet and keyboard to make and unmake. I sent my dock back, two weeks later I have a new one and it works swift. If you liked earlier transformers you'll love this one. Well worth it.

Thank you for your feedback, KillerKayak. I know the specs are certainly better than my Prime and I do like Asus' design and how they keep the OS fairly clean (unlike Samsung). I don't plan to get the dock for it, so I'm ok from that perspective. I'm guessing it won't dock with my Prime's dock.

The docks are all unique to each tablet. Love the dock, makes it a mini computer. Also, gives you more battery, protects the screen, and you have a SD chip socket. Have mine loaded up with a ton of memory in it.

Oh, I'm familiar with the dock's functionality. I just won't be needing it. :) When I traveled a lot for work, having the dock on the Prime was superb. I don't travel like I did, so just the tablet will be fine for me. :)
