Task managers are not good for your device and do more harm then good, plus they use more battery trying to keep apps closed that will just re-open themselves right after being closed. Android is programed to naturally deal with tasks on it's own and will do so if the running service is no longer being used or needed. You are much better off without a task manager then you are with one.

@Prime
Its not a Task Manager to kill tasks. Its a task switcher. Basically a replacement for the task switcher you use which you access by long pressing on the home button.

Know the difference between task SWITCHERS and task MANAGERS/KILLERS.

To the OP:

IMO this app isn't very good. From what I see it takes up too much space on the Notification Bar. I prefer QuickDesk.

I'm just saying about the task killers sorry 'bout that I was not paying good attention for it is late.

EDIT: When I saw task manager I thought of it as something that manages tasks meaning kills them.

You are right chanchan05. But this app lets you switch between recent applications not only from desktop but also, or rather primarilly, from all active applications. So it is real handy - moreover it's very lightweight and looks like normal android feature (which it does not have)

What's more: you don't need to press any buttons :)

Pressing buttons is not a big deal, as compared to receiving a text somewhere and then you have to scroll through the active applications, especially for someone who has a lot of active applications running in the background (I keep Facebook, Tweakdeck, Facebook Messenger, Sugarsync and Dropbox running).

Try Quickdesk. :)

This is yet another app from either you or your colleague, and I think that it's high time that you contribute something to this community.

This isn't your personal site for free advertising. Normally, we give some latitude around here, but the minute you said that you found this by searching, you were being dishonest.
