Rezound battery life compared to Thunderbolt?

I just got a used Thunderbolt off EBay to replace my Eris (which was at the point of being borderline unusable). I know the Tbolt is known for less than impressive battery life, but how does the Rezound compare with equivalent useage? Has anyone had both?

I get better 4G reception which means my phone isn't hunting around for a signal. That and a few other things help with battery life. I'd say you'd probably notice about a 15-20% improvement, but then again it has a larger battery.

Not even an comparison. ReZound is leaps and bounds better than the t-bolt in battery life. I was able to get a few hours of heavy usage on the t-bolt. I get about 7 hours or so heavy usage with t-bolt. I recommend buying either extended or spare battery for each phone, more so the t-bolt.

I actually got about the same if not slightly better battery life out of my Thunderbolt but I was rooted . Now if I remember correctly the short time I was stock my battery life wasn't very good on my Tbolt so I'd say it's slightly better then the Thunderbolt maybe an extra 1-2hrs stock to stock . I bet if you put the Rezound battery in the Thunderbolt they'd have the same battery life stock v stock

So it seems like it's a decent improvement from what you guys have said. I don't use my phones for games and all that, mostly just web browsing and email, so I doubt I'd need all the power from the Rezounds dual core setup. Battery life is the big issue and it's either a free Tbolt with my upgrade and put this one back on Ebay to get my money back, or shell out the cash for the Rezound.
Aaaaand that's basically where I'm stuck :)

Are you guys that are getting 12-15 hours turning everything way down or off to get that kind of life? I had a T-Bolt when it hit the shelves and just to survive 5-6 hours I was having to turn off auto sync and crop the screen brightness way down. In the end, doing these things (turning my phone from a smartphone to a 'so-so' phone) deterred me from keeping it.

So are adjustments required to the settings in order to go as long as you do?

Oh, and one more thing in the spirit of one stop shopping....I'm coming from considering the GNex and am here to learn about the Rezound so I hope you don't mind the one off subject question.....how big/thick is it compared to the Thunderbolt?

I went from a DINC to a T-Bolt and wasn't real happy with the size and weight (or the battery life and heating issues) of the phone. How does this compare?

The Rezound is about the same thickness maybe a little thinner, a little longer and a little more narrow. It's much easier to operate with one hand then the Thunderbolt. In hand it feels like a much smaller phone

Any other input? It looks like 50% say that it's about 15-20% longer life than the Tbolt (and it has a 15% bigger battery, so that makes sense), and the rest say it's tremendously better. Kind of leaves me not having a clue! :)

Stock battery gets me through the day with auto-brightness, perf set to "normal," auto sync on, GPS on, and 4G on. So I haven't done much to conserve battery life, but I do think you need to turn the performance setting to "normal" to see the life big improvement relative to the TBolt.

I've not noticed a single hiccup from using the "normal" mode, even in fast-paced games and so forth. I have also noticed that the battery really has to condition for a few cycles to get it's full performance- Run it down all the way, and then fully recharge it for the next use.

I've thought about turning off GPS since I don't use it much- just when I need it, really, but I sort of like the silly localiztions, like the weather widget knowing where I am... That would help even more, of course.

Right now I'm using the extended battery because: (1) It was dirt cheap (2) I like the feel of the phone better with the edge-wrapping case and the extended battery cover filling out the rear (3) It's kind of nice not even seeing yellow if you forget to charge it overnight, or have a heavy use day.

(For my normal use, the extended battery lasts 2 days. Definitely into the evening on the second day, at least, if not quite the "full" day. I usually plug it in over night, though, and the extended battery is typically still in the 60% range when I do that.)

I'm waiting to see what other cases come out for the extended battery, though. I've thought about seeing if I could modding an Otterbox Defender to make room for the extended battery, but it would be easier to just run with the stock battery. I might just end up using the extended battery for traveling.
