Help Rezound reboots when Mail received

Hi folks, a bad problem showed up this morning. Whenever the phone receives new mail via exchange activeSync, it goes into an endless boot loop. The only solution is to delete the activeSync account quickly before the new mail message appears in the notification area. If I add the account back from scratch, the problem returns. At this point I can no longer receive work mail on my phone, a wee bit of a problem.

Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts?

More info. Got a SMS and that caused a reboot as well.

Did a factory reset, problem resolved. I notice that the phone behaves differently now even though I set all the settings back to what they were and reinstalled all my apps. A couple apps behave differently, and the phone seems a lot faster. I wonder if Verizon gave me one someone had returned because they hosed it and Verizon didn't bother with a factory reset....

Network speeds are improved and battery life, while still not great, is still much improved. Makes me wonder what the bleep was on there...
