Rezound - Worst Typing Program Ever?

Why does the typing program on the Rezound suck so horribly?
If you for instance, are typing a message on a message board from your phone (*or in my case uploading a photo to my blog and typing in a description or message) and you look back and see a grammar error... then try to tap that part of your text to fix it,... the damn thing picks a RANDOM place to toss the cursor? 1/50 times of touching the screen will it get close to where you pin prick it, every other time it goes in the absolute opposite direction and starts highlighiting random words as if I want to copy and paste them. WTF?!?!?!


so damn frustrating. THis and the fact that 4G in the Seattle area cuts in and out non stop I want to get rid of this phone.. I'm about a week outside my 14 days, however.. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

On top of this, the phone picks random widgets on the home screens to make disappear. so it will still have the widget/item name and no picture.

stupid phone. last HTC.
 
It does the same thing for me, yeah it's frustrating you would think with all this technology they could figure out how to make a cursor function.
 
When I place the cursor in the preceding text, it places a green dot below the cursor which I can press and "scroll" through the text. A pop-up window appears to "fine tune" the cursor position. It may not be the best solution among smart phones, but it works fairly well for me.
 
I have not tried recalibrating the touch screen, i am not sure how, but I'll figure that out if it canbe done.
As far as the green dot, I was not aware you could slide it to the right position, it mainly wants to look a word up or something if i touch it.

I'll definitely try zooming in. As I take pictures and write stories or descriptions then upload directly to my Wordpress blog not having a good program for all this might be the end of me and this phone. I'll let you know if I figure all this out.

edit.. looks like the little green button helps and i learned how to finally high-lite with it.

still annoyed about the widgets disappearing though and on another note my email decided to nly let select few through to the phone until i closed out and re-signed in. What a frustration. I upgraded from a Droid X and never had a single issue with that thing.

Just wondering if you tried a keyboard from the Google Play store? I settled on the SwiftKey 3 keyboard- it seems psychic, at times, knowing what I want to type.

Being a lousy typist, it has really increased my speed and accuracy.
Free trial period- and no I don't work for
them. Just my opinion.

I agree, I have the same problem when typing into web-based text boxes. The cursor jumps all over the place when you try to tap somewhere in the text box.

This doesn't happen to me inside of apps, only on web pages. That's what prompted me to download tapatalk for these forums.

disappearing widgets sounds like a problem. never hurts to factory reset. hopefully the pending OS upgrade helps in that area as well (factory reset is practically mandatory after that as well)

It isn't just the Rezound. Typing on standard web pages stinks on practically EVERY page I try it on. Not sure if it is a web page thingt, a HTML thing, a Flash thing.... whatever it is it is down right annoying as ***!

That's one thing that was so great about the dinc you had the optical thing to move the cursor wherever you needed it
 
I'll try the typing program you guys mentioned.
I have had a ton of problems, did a factory resent and it only helped with internet connectivity, email is horrible and i run a business..soo..

Verizon is sending me a new one, they wont let me switch phones because I've had the rezound for a full month.
 
Bought SwiftKey 3 - $4 USD and feels solid. I work on a blog through my phone and camera and require a well functioning program for this, thanks for the tip

^THIS! Had my DInc for 2 years, have had my Rezound for 3 months... not a day goes by that I don't miss that optical trackpad.

Also: another vote for SwiftKey 3... that thing is scary good! (and this is coming from a Swype fanboy)
