Help Rhyme gets hot in charging base...

My wife's Rhyme gets extremely hot when placed in the charging base. It gets hot in the area of the three brass charging prongs just below the camera lens, and stays hot for a long time after removing from the charging base. We have also noticed the battery does not seem to hold a charge as long as it used to.

Has anyone else noticed this?

No, my wifes is cool to the touch.make sure she is using the back button and not the home button to leave apps.
