Help Riddle me this

Doing so is like restarting or powering on/off your computer each day, which is really what your Electrify is (a computer.) Doing so puts everything back into place after a day's activities with the phone. All data, files, and apps are reorganized, put back into place, making your phone run more smoothly, quickly, and efficiently the next time that you turn it back on. If you have deleted any files, apps, cache, history, etc., it does a better job of erasing everything and freeing up your memory and RAM. Some people never turn their devices off, and back on each day and seem to get along fine. But, I believe that most users will power cycle their devices daily for optimum operation.

It is technically not a requirement for any smartphone as they are what they are - a phone. Everyone knows that turning your phone off for a brief moment can cause the world to end and that's why we try to avoid it (/end sarcasm).

However, KMF brings a good point that these phones are like computers (RAM, CPU, Calculator... Yep, it's a computer) and in being one it is a good idea to 'refresh' the hardware once in a while with a good ol' restart. Now we all know we hate doing that as it takes FOREVER for the phone to boot back up and load all the widgets, etc. So we tend to stay away from it. I just wish there was an easier way in refreshing these phones! Maybe a soft-restart app that doesn't require turning the device off fully, but just do the reorganizations... Any developers get that?

Actually, I believe that there are soft reset/reboot apps available. Just do a search.
