Ridiculously repetitive pop-up advert

Anyone else getting this again? I'm getting a popup every 4 or 5 clicks whilst navigating.

I realize this is a slightly old thread, but not only is it impossible to get rid of the pop-up/over ad from a mobile (I finally gave up trying), it also won't dismiss (at least for me) from a normal desktop computer using Firefox. I click the X several times, nothing happens. In frustration I tried doing a hard refresh of the page, and that gets rid of it...but cripes. There has GOT to be a fix and/or happy medium.

I shouldn't HAVE to install the app again just to read this forum, a mobile phone forum at that, from my phone. Talk about the ultimate irony.

And the fact that the ad won't dismiss by clicking the X tells me there's something wrong with the ads' code, period.

I'm also located in the US, if that's still relevant (I saw there was some discussion on that).

The Puffin browser suppresses that pop-up on my phone and on my tablet
