Help RIL ? RADIO ?

i was curious so i googled it

As far I know modem is necessary for wifi , bluetooth and signals ?
Radio just catches the Signals . .bbut modem will decide which signals to catch ?
Is it like that ?

im really not sure about all that, hopefully someone else will chime in and inform us
 
You don't... you flash different baseband firmware which is often (incorrectly) called "the modem".
So it means that modem and radio are the same name of one thing ?
& can u please tell me the difference between baseband firmware and RIL?

They're commonly integrated into the main processor unit, so yes.

The baseband firmware is, as the name suggests, discrete code that configures the radio(s). The RIL is usually integrated into the actual device firmware (a.k.a. ROM).
