hey guys i'm new to the android. i got a lot of pointers googling problems i had but this one remains left unanswered and the problem is getting irritating!
-first i set a custom ringtone to my notifications tone and everytime someone texts it plays a song from my music. i don't like it cuz it's too long so i made a short motorcycle sound the ringtone but it never played just that song from my music. i also tried setting the notification tone back to one of the stock tones but it's still playing that damn song

-second problem. everytime i turn off my phone or it dies i turn it back on n the assigned tones to contacts is gone...thats too much work to keep reassigning them every time the phone is rebooted. anyone know wats up with that?
i have a samsung infuse 4g running on gingerbread...
