Assuming it works like my Nexus 4, simply move or copy the MP3 you want to the Ringtones folder in internal storage. It'll then appear in the list when you go to change the ringtone.
To do this, you can either get a file manager from the Play Store (I use a free one called File Manager) or you connect to a PC and use Windows Explorer (Windows Key + E).
