Ringtone advice

I realize that this is a very rudimentary question, but how do I change my current ringtone to another song on my memory card? I am sure this is a very simple procedure (my songs are in the Storage area of my phone), but I could not seem to find instructions in the manual. Thanks for your help!

I don't have this device but as I read on Virgin Mobile Q&A, it sounds like you can either:

1.) Longpress on the song in your playlist and select save as > ringtone

or

2.) When the song is playing, hit menu > set as > ringtone
