Ringtone and Earpiece volume too low?

OMG, TV, PC / Speakers...it's everywhere... gonna have tt echo everywhere??!! losing heart on my 20 days old x10

Only when I use Bluetooth Headset like "iTech" or "Jabra"

Wired SonyEricsson Headset don't have such problem.

Yep, same here, went from Nokia N97 to N900 (which were great) to X10 and the earpiece volume is well sub-standard, very hard to hear the conversation if I'm in the street.
Don't know about firmware update, when I connect to SE Companion it says I'm up to date (only had it a week).

I have a same problem, i bought x10 (new) in bosnia and herzegovina, ringer volume and earphone is very, very low at max. I wrote about that to SE but they tell me there is no solution for this problem... anyone have solution... i'm runnin lastest update... thanks

no solution to this problem, its one of the bad points of the phone unfortunately

Here is what thay told me:

X10 has a lower volume in the ear speaker compared with other phone models, but if you find the ear speaker volume to be significantly low I suggest that you contact your retailer to check if it might be some problem with your phone.
