Help Ringtone error

im trying to change my ringtone and when i go to the settings-> sounds -> and when i hit phone ringtone it says "sorry the application settings (process com.android.setting) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
does anyone one know why/how this is happening

Ive tried reflashing the ROM im using but it didnt fix it

yeah sure but i dont know what a logcat is
nvm i have alogcat download so i could get the faster 3g mod
tell me how to get the settings error thing
 
Id just like you to reset your phone, and try to change the ringtone, get the error, close it, then go to logcat and tell me what it said.
