I've noticed that my ringtone (made from MP3 cutter but plays fine in player), rings for roughly 1second then goes silent for shirt while then rings again with volume then the same again?

any ideas?
I've not messed with priorities thingy volume is on and up to max..

Whereabouts on your phone is your ringtone stored?

ext sd probably not looked , will look now and move to internal n see if makes a diff

As always, ringtones can, and often do, misbehave if stored on external SD cards and should always be placed in the, "Ringtones", folder on the phone's internal memory. Nothing to do with the Lollipop update I'm afraid.

nope makes no odds, moved it used internal ringtone selector to make it as ringtone, not a 3rd party, still does this and same with a standard ring tone?

Did you remember to reboot your phone after moving it to the internal memory?

Does the same thing happen with the stock Samsung ringtones?

I have noticed in conjunction with the sound outage, I get a drop down appear that says about answering with voice or reject with voice..

yes they do exactly the same it's as tho something is trying to cut int the tone

It sounds as though you need to look at your call settings. Unfortunately, I am currently testing a custom ROM and so therefore, I cannot give you the pathway to cancel that notification which is causing your issue.

Isn't there a latency issue in Lollipop with the audio? It might be that, its being fixed in an update afaik.
