Help Ringtone/Notification/Audio Issue after GB OTA

Hey new here and I will try to add some value when I can, but I can't find an answer to this problem yet:

I had a stock DX running froyo and ADW Launcher got the OTA to GB this morning and since then about 90% of my ringtones/notifications loop continuously for no apparent reason. At first I thought it was a Handcent SMS issue, but same happens with stock messaging app and also if I just play the audio files through any player....thoughts??

Very annoying as so many of my sounds are now unusable. Oh and the stock system sounds all seem fine and don't do this, but not all of my other files do either, so I can't find the relation.

I too have had the same problem and (at least for me) I traced it back to .wav files.
MP3 files play fine for me as ringtones or notifications but wav files go into a constant loop. I downloaded Audacity on my PC and converted all the wav files to MP3 to solve my issue.

This really doesn't address the issue, but at least is a free workaround.
It all worked fine on Froyo but on the 595 or 596 updates it loops.

Yeah I almost suspected that too because I noticed a lot of the problems were wav files, but I found a couple other audio file types that did the same thing, but like you said I don't think any mp3's did so I guess that's how I will have to fix it.

Oh well, I was looking for a way to waste 15 or 20 minutes of my life anyway lol
