Ringtone on messages

I have a S3 with ATT and one with Sprint. I want to change the ringtone for the messages how can I do that?

Menu, settings, notifications from within messaging app. Pretty standard

I've done that. I want my contact to have the same ringer for incoming and txt. On metro you can but sprint and att it don't is there a way I can

im with ATT, i havent been able to find a way to make individual text have its own ringtone. all text from whoever are the same, but you can make those different from standard call ringtones.

That is a new feature of 4.1.2 JB, but from what I have read it has not be activated, It will not work.

Ringo Pro in the play store will do it with no problems. I'm not sure about the free version, but you can try it. The (affordable and well worth it) paid version definitely does it. I'm on Sprint with 4.1.2, just tried it, and it works. You can also turn on the function to announce the name of callers and/or texters, if you wish.

Im with Metro and brother is with Sprint n his gfriend is with ATT and on my phone I can go into contacts and there is a message alert where I can switch to whatever ringtone i want. So I told my brother how but on his it dont have that. So want to thank eveyone trying to help but he just downloaded the SMS Pro and that way he can do it.
