Help Ringtone question

So I just customized my ringtone and tested it out. It seems that the ringtone goes off really soft then loud. Is there a reason for this?

There's also an app called Ringdroid which you can use to make a ringtone out of any of the songs on your phone. The quiet part of the increasing ringtone lasts 2.1 seconds before it jumps to regular volume. I kind of like the first vibrate with a really quiet ring when the song comes in at the right time.
