Lurker
Ok, so here's my issue. My ringtone (and only my ringtone, not notifications, alarms, etc) keeps resetting to one of Verizon's default tones whenever I plug my phone into the computer in disk drive mode. I know that it's losing the ringtone setting because the tone is stored on my sdcard and and all that. I am rooted on stock ROM, so I moved the ringtone (which is a about a 20 second mp3) to my system/media/audio/ringtones folder. However, the ringtone no longer shows up for my selection, even after a reboot. I have made sure the permissions match all of the others in the folder, but nothing I do seems to work. I have tried several different mp3's as well. None of them will show up when I move them to the system folder with matching permissions. Any suggestions?
ETA: I moved the mp3s into the system folder using Super Manager. However, when I look for the mp3's using Astro Manager, they do not show up in the folder. And also, when I use Super Manager and view the folder with Read Only permissions, they don't show up. I only see them in the folder when I have it set to Read/Write permission.
UGH. Nevermind. I fixed it. The reboot apparently does work after moving the mp3s into the APPROPRIATE folder! I somehow managed to put them in the notifications folder instead of the ringtones folder the last time I tried it (with a reboot). I guess I'd done it so many freakin times, I just got a little loopy the last time lol. Might explain why I wasn't seeing them anywhere haha.
