Help Ringtone?

I can't seem to set custom ringtones for my text message alerts. Is it possible to , oram I doing something wrong?

The stock Android OS will only set a specific ringtone for all SMS messages, not specific contacts. You can download ringdroid and or other similar apps. These will allow you to set specific ring tones.

Ringdroid will allow you to create your own ringtones/notifications.

Ringo Lite will allow you to assign tones to individual contact SMS and/or phone calls.
As was said above, the base OS only allows 1 tone for all SMS messages.
