I just bought an android phone two days ago and I'm confused on setting my ringtones. I changed my filesystem when I got it and changed the ringtones folder to ringtones and music. Now whenever I set something as my ringtone it still plays the default one. Please help!

Hello Chain.

Messing around with that file system probably is what has caused your ringtones to not be accessed as they should by the system.

There are slightly different file structures and file/folder names from one Android OS to another; you'll need to tell us which device you have and which OS version (1.6? 2.1? etc..) for us to be able to exact some help to you.

Generally speaking a factory data reset (menu > settings > privacy > factory data reset) will restore everything not on the SD card and that could resolve your issues for you (you'll have to reconfigure, of course).
