first off.. chill out... I am sure if you googled Android ringtones, even in this forum you will find lots of info. Google is your friend.

Look for Ringdroid in the market.

Another good place is www.audiko.net, folks upload rintones and you just download as mp3 and stick them in a folder called ringtones, notification, or alarm(s) on the root of your sdcard.

Some folks say you need to put it in another but who knows.

You can also try downloading MP3 Music Downloader, search for songs and download it..if you click-hold it will give you the option to "Set As" and you can choose ringtone, alarm and notification.

i appreciate it and yea im chill lol, just there isnt to much info having to do with this phone considering it just came out. ill give those ideas a try, but what if id want to make my own ? also what about wallpapers ? has anyone done that yet ?

i am sure you can make your own...using any wallpaper.. Just remember the res of the LCD is 320x480, so take that into account when making wallpapers.

What do you mean make your own ringtones? Do you just want to make ringtones from songs? Or really make your own music ringtones?

The examples I provided seem to work for me when making ringtones from popular songs...plus @ audiko.net most were already made, I just downloaded them

I've got a ZTE Blade (Android 2.1), and I've put a short mp3 file in a folder on the SD card root, called 'ringtones'. Nothing new shows up in the list of available ringtones. Am I missing something? Would I have to select the entire clip in Ringdroid and convert/use it, or is there a simpler way? I'd be glad of any ideas - Tim

not sure how it would work on your version of android, but when i just recently dragged and droped a ringtone onto my phone, it was able to play in the music player and then i was able to set it as a ringtone. hopefully that answered your question. as for a program to make your own mp3s say cutting certain parts of a song to make a ringtone i use cool edit pro 2.1 one there should be a version of it floating around on some torrent sites
