Ringtones/notifaction sounds on SNG suck!!!

Just copy the files from your old phone to your pc, then from your pc to your new phone using the usb cable or wifi.
The Nexus didn't come with the droid notification sound, I copied it from my droid x.

I transfer small files via wifi to and from my devices using es file explorer, as well as all of the sounds I created or downloaded.

Ok, I copied them from my old Droid(I think) but when I try to connect my new phone I get some "New Hardware Wizard" prompt that does nothing and my PC doesn't even recognize my phone...

Don't mean to be a noob but WTH?

Some people have trouble connecting the nexus to their pc. I don't believe anyone has come up with a complete fix, but they have had better luck using the cable that came with the nexus.

Aside from that, you can try wifi.

You can put the phone in USB (Settings>Developer Options>Android debugging). That will allow Windows to get access to the files/folders in your GNex.

Mine has no problems connecting to my PC, but there are lots of others who can't get their PC's to acknowledge the connection.

I like the Nexus sounds! Brought over a few of the better ones from my DX. It's more fun for me to create notifications and ringtones myself. I prefer to personalize the look AND sound of my phone!

most of the notification sound can be gotten off Zedge website, I downloaded some notifications from my incredible2. You just need to search the name of the notification sound you are looking for via zedge.
