One I download a ringtone to my phone, where do I have to move it too for it to show up in my available ringtones?

Still getting familiar with the phone so I have no idea where the folder or location on the SD card for me to be able to use the ringtone that I downloaded.

i downloaded the ringtone to my phone. it's in my "My Sounds" folder but i have no option to save it as a ringtone.

go ahead and download "Ringdroid" off the market, (its free btw) and it will find all your sounds music ETC. find that ringtone, and just play it... then hit the save button and it will let you save it as a permanent ringtone! Thats how I do all mine anyway. Hope this helped.

Create these folders in the root of your SD Card. Using these folders will allow items to appear in system menus/apps:

Movies/ - All movies (excluding those taken with the camcorder).
Music/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as user music.
Notifications/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a notification sound.
Podcasts/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a podcast.

Ringtones/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a ringtone.
