Ringtones

I know how to make ringtones. Where do you store them in the Android file system so they can be assigned to contacts or as default ringtone?

Create folders on your SD card, labeled ringtones, notifications, and/or alarms. Go to SD card settings, unmount and remount card. Move sounds into these folders. These sounds will be a available for use.
