Is their anyway to set your own music as a ringtone on this? Buying ringtones is a ripoff.

It works for notifications. I haven't tried it with ring tones, but see no reason why it would not work.

once you get the songs that you want on your phone, you have to move them into the ringtones file.

I use an app called MP3 Ringtone Maker that works great. I can make a notification or ringtone out of any song on my phone. Easy to use, very intuitive. Free app.

Zedge for example is an app that allows you to D/L ringtones and alerts.
