Is there a way to add other skins ringtones and notifyers to our phone? as in I came from the Venice and I loved the ringtones so can I get that here?

you can add anything you want as a ringtone, dont remember exactly how on stock but its fairly simple no matter what. usually its just a matter of using your music player or the file explorer and holding down on whichever one you want then clicking use as ringtone. technically you could just steal the ringtones from the venice, but i prefer to take my mp3s and chop them up in audacity then toss them onto the phone. and if oyu want to be really fancy about it, you can use audacity to convert them to ogg format, make sure to give them a title in a meta tag, and toss them into the /system/media/audio/ringtone or notification or whatever you want to replace, that will add them to the actual system menu as long as you made sure to edit the meta tags

themes however im not sure... i dont theme stuff lol. that is a job better suited for someone else, maybe if guspeed is around he can help out i know hes good with themes

Well my venice is bricked... So that out of the question and Idk how to get the mp3s for those ring tones and I don't know how to do the meta tags lol also I like to have the stock feel instead of the LG ui. One more thing I can do any testing you need for cm 10 or 10.1

well i appreciate your offer to test, there should be something here soon youll want to try out, shinru got aokp to build and boot. 10.1 is a no go so far tho. but yea as far as getting the files from the venice if someone has the stock rom posted you could just pull them from that directory out of the rom. and meta info is the stuff like when you open it in a media player it doesnt say filename.mp3 or filename.ogg it says title and it has a section for artist and album and that kind of shit, all you gotta do is edit that which most media players are capable of, thats up to you tho

its already out on the forums, feel free to try it out and report back on shins new thread, but yea its just kinda startling when you got the volume all the way up and you arent expecting it, that shit is loud

the same way you get into any zip file. the update zips are just normal zips. the only thing special about them is the contents
