I downloaded ringtones that are now under either downloads or music. How do I get them moved so I can assign them to specific contacts? I tried connecting the phone to my laptop via USB but the computer doesn't find it. What's next?

Put the ringtones into the Ringtones folder. (You can use any gile manager for that - I use Total Commander.) Then you should be able to choose the ringtone for the specific contact.

Use a file manager from the Play Store (I use a free one called File Manager) to move the files to the /Ringtones folder in internal storage. They will then appear in the selection list when you go to assign ringtones to contacts.

Re the laptop not 'seeing' the phone, that's most likely a dodgy USB cable - try a different one.

If not, then it will be drivers.

- disconnect the phone from the computer
- uninstall ALL phone related sofware and drivers from the computer
- restart the computer
- restart the phone

If your phone came with PC software, install this - do NOT connect the phone until prompted.

If your phone did not come with PC software, connect it to the computer

In both cases, do NOT disconnect the phone until ALL drivers have successfully installed.
