Help RJ45 to micro USB

JAy3001

Here is an odd question. o_O

If I purchased an RJ45 to micro USB adapter and plugged it into my phone would it be able to share the internet from the connected router? Would the phone even know it was connected and be able to configure itself to use the net?

Buy a Hub with Wi-Fi instead, connect the Hub to the router and your house is Wi-Fi certified [emoji6]

If the adapter manufacturer has made a support app for Android it might. But frankly they tend to only support PC or Mac. Not many people wanting to use wired ethernet with phones probably.

Thanks guys. Can you list such a device lvt?

It's called wireless Ethernet or wireless hub, usually made by 3com, D-Link, NetGear... Buy whatever you like.

Simply connect the wireless hub to your existing router and make some settings to the hub using your web browser.

Most of recent routers have built-in Wi-Fi, please check your actual router before buying.
