I couldn't figure out the best place to place this post, this looks like as good a place as any. I got an email today about RoadRunner 4G hotspot service for $20/mo (after buying a $50 hotspot gizmo). Kind of low data usage at 250mb... but I don't know that much about hotspot equipment/plans.
Does this mean and smartphone (say my VM Optimus) with WiFi capability that wasn't activated, could pretty much connect anywhere you carried the hotspot with you? So with GrooveIP or Skype you wouldn't need mobile service at all?
