Roaming with Data in Las Vegas, NV

I don't know if it has to do with the PRL I forced or if Metro is starting to get data roaming agreements. On I15 between Las Vegas and Mesquite once I pass Great Basin Highway my phone picks up a roaming signal that allows 1x data. This goes all the way into Mesquite. Sometimes the data roaming works the whole time I'm there and sometimes I lose it in less than 30 minutes. Also from Las Vegas to Creech AFB same thing. I get data roaming past Lee Canyon into Indian Springs.

Normally in both of these areas I have Traveltalk only which means I pay for cell usage except for free text messages.

BTW it says "roaming" in the upper right on the lock screen not "Traveltalk"

they updated their service for better coverage a lil bit ago. it might now just be expanding in that area.
